The rest of the BRDF section deals with direct reflectivity in one way or another. Specularity is essen-
tially the reflection caused by lights in the scene. Because conventional 3D lights placed in the scene do not
appear as physical objects, they do not appear in reflections. Specular Amount controls the strength of this
type of reflection. The Reflection Amount option controls the actual (mirrorlike) reflections on the surface.
Because these two options actually control the same thing (just for different sources), it is usually best to
keep the settings the same for both. For this reason, modo 501 has added the Match Specular option to make
the reflection settings match the specular settings. The Fresnel option adds control over the reflective set-
tings as the surface becomes more perpendicular to the viewer. Setting this option to a value of 100% will
