Saving Painted Images
While you are painting, your image will not be automatically saved. To save the image, you can either
find the image in the Images tab (in the same section as the Shader Tree and Items list) and then right-
click and choose Save, or you can choose Save All from the File menu. Remember that simply saving
the scene file will not save the painted image!
9. Using the Nozzle (located below the brush tips) and the Jitter options (located under Tablet Nozzle
in the tool options) adds more randomness as you continue to refine the texture. When you are finished,
you can have an image with specific areas of grime to fit your needs. Figure 12-23 shows an example
of the painted texture on the scene.
Figure 12-22: Hand-painted grime can be placed precisely where you want it.
Figure 12-23: Painting textures by hand can take some time but can enable you to create precise areas of
detail and have excellent control over your texture.
