Finally, you can add some variation in color to the rocks by adding a gradient layer to the Rock material
in the Shader Tree. With the Input Parameter set to Particle ID, different points on the gradient will be used
to color each individual rock. If you set the gradient blend mode to Multiply, the existing texture will show
through but be modulated by the gradient on a per item basis. Figure 11-34 shows the rocks with added dif-
fuse variation.
