3. If there are additional edges running through the polygons, select the edges and delete them (by
pressing the Delete key). This should leave only two polygons.
4. Use the Bevel tool to add depth to the counters and pull them away from the wall.
5. Select the top two faces and move them up to just below the desired top surface of the counter.
6. With the two top polygons still selected, use the Bevel tool and bevel the surface straight up to create
the countertop of the cabinet.
7. Select the thin polygons that will make the front overhang edge of the countertop.
8. Bevel these polygons outward to create the lip on the countertop.
9. Select the edges running around the top and bottom of the lip.
10. Bevel these edges slightly (about 5 mm) with a small Round Level (3-4).
Your finished cabinet and countertop can be divided into individual sections (for doors) by running some
loop slices through the front faces of the object The individual front faces can be beveled to create the doors.
Remember that using the set of Profiles with the Bevel tool can create complex contours very quickly. Figure
9-35 shows the completed counters with spaces for a sink and an appliance such as an oven or dishwasher
that will be added later.
