3. Use the Shift+up-arrow command twice to expand the selection.
4. Subtract the center selection by clicking the subtract (-) button next to the new material (Statistics
Polygons Material).
5. Assign a new material to this new selection.
6. Use Shift+up-arrow twice more to expand the selection.
7. Subtract the second material from the selection by using the subtract (-) button next to the second
material.
8. Assign a third material to the resulting selection. At this point, your mesh should look like Figure
9-11 .
9. A fourth material can be added by increasing the selection further and subtracting materials already
created or by adding just the default material polygons with nothing else selected.
