In the case of pixels, the difference in what is selected would obviously be less important, but with poly-
gons, this can be critical. One aspect of most Lasso tools is the straight line connecting the start and end
points. This line allows for selections of small areas with absolute precision. Using the same grid of poly-
gons, a single strip of polygons can be selected by drawing the selection into the open space and allowing
the straight connecting line to go through the adjacent strip of polygons. The lasso area shown in Figure 9-6
results in a clean selection; the clean row is shown in Figure 9-7 .
