In the course of a modeling session, quick selections will be made and dropped dozens (if not hundreds)
of times. So there is a great need for quick precision. In modo, the selection of polygons (as well as other
elements) is all or nothing. If the entire element is not within the area of the lasso, it will not be selected. At
first glance, this may appear to be a minor differentiation, but the results can be tremendous! Consider the
selection made in Figure 9-4 . Even though the shape is not very different from its Photoshop counterpart in
the previous example, the result (shown in Figure 9-5 ) is a perfect square.
