erately complex floor plan, this kind of misalignment will almost inevitably occur. Spending a lot of time
trying to avoid minor issues like this can be counterproductive because the solution is simple:
1. Select the crooked edge(s).
2. Set the Action Center to Element.
3. Enable the Scale tool (R).
4. Disable the Negative Scale check box.
5. Click an edge that is straight and in the correct position to align the Scale tool to it.
6. Scale the edges to 0%. (With Negative Scale disabled, this will be the lowest you will be able to go.)
This solution will allow you to quickly align walls throughout the model and should greatly increase the
speed of your workflow. Using the Edge Extend, Bridge, and Scale tools with some minor Action Center ad-
justments (mainly using the Element Action Center), the remainder of the walls can be completed relatively
quickly. The result should look something like Figure 8-16 . Unlike with the Boolean method, the walls will
not be given any height at this point. The curved interior walls still need to be added as well as floors.
Figure 8-16: The completed wall sections are made with complex areas blocked in for the moment.
