To add some additional character to the material, the same dirt (with the Gain increased to 100%) is used
as a bump map in Figure 6-35 . Using procedural textures for this purpose can come in handy because there
is no need to create a UV map for the texture to be properly applied. At times, it is valuable to view your
textures out of the context of the scene. In these cases, primitive geometry (Plane, Sphere, or Teapot) can be
accessed at the top of the Options drop-down in the render preview window, as shown in Figure 6-36 .
