To clean up the UV map and remove the distortion, follow this procedure:
1. Move over to the UV interface and then, in the Lists tab, select Texture UV from the UV Maps head-
ing. Inspection of the map will show that the majority of the mesh is laid out nicely, but the cylindrical
section is heavily stretched, as shown in Figure 6-7 . The easiest way to remedy this problem is to re-
build this section.
2. In Polygons mode, double-click the pedestal section of the UV map to select it.
