Creating the Spotlight
For the spotlight, start by creating a cylinder (in a new mesh layer) with a radius of 200 mm in the x and
y dimensions, and 300 mm in the z. Leave the default settings for Sides and Segments (24 and 12, respect-
ively). This cylinder will act as the main body for the light.
From here, you will create a lens for the light and an attached box on the bottom. Select the front circular
face of the cylinder and bevel it twice: first inset it to create the geometry for the lip and then bevel to indent
the section for the lens. Now, the lens needs to be rounded (similarly to the rounded section of the soft box).
The same method can be used to round the lens, but in this case, you will look at another option. To round
this section by using the falloff, do the following:
1. Bevel the lens polygon with an inset of about 150 mm.
2. Select two adjacent polygons that run around the face of the lens.
3. Run the Loop Slice tool (Alt/Option+C).
4. Set the Count to 10 and click the Uniform button.
