Modeling Organic Objects
In this section, you will model smooth and organic forms by using subdivision surfaces. In completing these
models, you will learn about the following:
• Traditional modeling (based on moving points and polygons)
• Edge sharpening
• The use of falloffs to create flowing models
• The use of digital sculpting
Through the combined use of these techniques, you will be able to create the models for a convincing
studio scene. Figure 5-7 shows the projects you will model in this section, and then texture and render in the
following chapters.
