Data of our researches revealed (Table 6.4) that the increase in productivity and
marketability, and also quality indicators (the content of starch, dry matters, and reduc-
ing sugars), during the increase in fertilizer dose occurred due to a certain increase in
level of mineral nutrition, and then started to decrease. The nitrates content of all the
varieties did not exceed the maximum permissible rates (250 mg of %/kg), but it is
possible to note that with the rise in the level of mineral nutrition this sign increased.
At dose N 64 P 64 K 64 , the content of nitrates for varieties Volzhanin, Udacha, and Bars
were 129, 128, and 126 mg of %/kg, respectively.
