By researches, it is established that the highest productivity of green material of
an amaranth private (15 cm) created crops with norm of seeding of 2 million pieces/
ha and wide-row (45 cm) with norm of 1 million pieces/ha on the average for years of
researches, respectively, 45.1 and 46.1 tons/ha.
The greatest productivity of ordinary crops of an amaranth is provided, fi rst, at
the expense of optimum distribution of seeds on unit of area, thanks to the optimum
density of herbage created.
The increase in productivity of wide-row crops of an amaranth allows cutting
twice expenses on a sowing material.
On the yield of biomass, amaranth depend on the yield of dry matter, of fodder
pieces of digestible protein and energy. It is established that in wide-row planting
methods, the yield of dry matter increases from 7.3 up to 8.5 tons/ha and in the ordi-
nary crops of this indicator over the years, studies amounted to 6.9 and 7.9 tons/ha. A
similar trend was observed in the output of fodder pieces; in ordinary (15 cm) crops,
this indicator ranged from 5.6 to 6.5 tons/ha in wide-row sowings of 5.9-6.7 tons/ha,
digestible protein 1.08-1.24 tons/ha, in the ordinary crops. Wide-row is 1.10-1.28
tons/ha. In the ordinary crops with the seeding rate of 1.5-2.0 million pieces/ha, output
energy amounted to 72.7-82.95 GJ/ha, and under wide-row planting method with the
number of seedings from 0.5 to 1.0 million pieces/ha—80.62-89.96 GJ/ha.
Also, it was found that the yield of seeds of amaranth depends on the method of
planting and seeding rate. In ordinary (15 cm) and wide-row (45 cm) crops, increased
seeding rate leads to a decrease in productivity of seeds. Qualitative indicators of for-
age depend on the climatic conditions of the year change (Table 4.6).
