In-Depth Information
In our research, viability depends on the density of the sowing, which in turn de-
pends on the norm of sowing. The higher the norm of sowing, the denser sowing will
be both in the ordinary method of sowing and in wide-row. On the average, for 3
years of researches, the lowest fi eld viability was observed in an ordinary method of
sowing crops, and at increase in norm of seeding it raised from 63.0 to 63.5 percent.
In wide-row crops with wash seeding of seeds to 1.0 million pieces/ha, crops were
characterized by the maximum viability—66.4 percent. An increase in norm of seed-
ing mutual oppressing action, which leads to considerable, thin crops and decrease in
safety of plants of an amaranth, is observed. Supervision over plants of the fi rst year of
researches to the third allowed establishing optimum terms of crops of an amaranth in
the conditions of the Republic of North Ossetia Alania (Table 4.2).
