In-Depth Information
With the small deviations, these amounts of gasoline are forecasted for future.
There are no signifi cant disruptions in providing agricultural enterprises with this type
of fuel. However, the price of gasoline is growing by 7 percent almost every year.
Specifi c annual increase of fuel prices occurs in April and September, which coincides
with the main fi eld processes in agriculture—sowing and harvesting time. Owing to
low solvency of agricultural enterprises, it may have a negative effect on proper timing
of production processes. And the price of oil increases worldwide every year. There-
fore, the solution consists in production and use of alternative fuel types, fi rst of all
for agriculture.
The growth of sugar beet production by 2015 and 2020 will facilitate the imple-
mentation of the Law of Ukraine “On Alternative Types of Fuels,” in the part of bio-
ethanol addition into gasoline, as well as reduce the dependence of agricultural pro-
ducers on the market prices of fuel and its import (Table 22.10).
