In recent years,
Actinomices cretaceus Krassil
often appears on new roots as early
as in the middle of June, and later on under favourable condition progresses inten-
sively in July-August. Apart from
Actinomices,
damaged roots become settled with
different fungi (Figure 20.2).

In the composition of detected fungi, the dominant were varieties of
Fusarium
and
Pythium
, which under inevitable succession open the door for saccharolytic fungi
invasion that directly causes the decomposition of tissue.
