As the analysis of Table 19.5 revealed, the best of SCA were MS 1 (+0.67*) and
MS 5 (+0.22*). These lines possess a set of additive genes that will always infl uence
the display of sign in F
1
. In specifi c combinations, if the nonadditive effects of genes
are expressed very well, associating with dominance and overdominance, pairs of MS
1 and Ot 3 (0.41*), MS 2, and Ot 1(0.72*), MS 3, and Ot 5 (0.62*), MS 5 and Ot 2
(0.49*) revealed themselves better. MS 4 Line did not show itself in any combination;
GCA was signifi cantly lower (−0.56*), and all hybrids with its participation were of
inferior standard for 2.1…7.9 percent (Table 19.4).
On EA, MS 1 line confi rmed its high degree for GCA, and also showed itself on
CA. GSA of this line was signifi cantly higher (+0.4*), and MC 5 line had a positive
but nonsignifi cant effect (0.14) (Table 19.6).

MS 4 line was characterized by a negative and signifi cant effect on SCA both on
CA and EA (Tables 19.5 and 19.6). Consequently, one can argue about the relative sta-
bility of effects of GSA, which cannot be said about effects of SCA. Thus, the compo-
nents of the hybrid MS 1/Ot 3 on CA had the effect of “plus” that changed to the effect
of “negative” in EA, indicating a signifi cant expression of the effects of dominance
and overdominance. Nonadditive effects of genes of MC 4 line with O types on EA
showed the contrast: with the BS Ot 1 were signifi cantly negative (−0.58*) and with
Ot 3—signifi cantly positive (+0.60*), while on CA they had no signifi cant effect on
the display of sugar content in hybrid combinations with their participation.
MS 3 line also had contrast—with Ot 1 and Ot 2 effects of SCA were positive
(0.37* and 0.96*), while with Ot 4 and Ot 5—negative (−0.75* and 0.58*). On CA,
MS 3 line from Ot 4 had a high positive effect of SCA. Consequently, the environment
infl uenced the manifestation of nonadditive effects of genes, and this effect is specifi c
for each genotype.
19.4 CONCLUSIONS
Thus, on the elevated background of fertilizing, the extended area is the envi-
ronment with a good differentiating ability, as 8 hybrids were revealed, signifi cantly
