MS 2 and MS 3 lines were carriers of additive genes in the environment of NBCA.
Signifi cantly high effect of SCA was observed in the combination of MS 1/Ot 3
(+0.46*), but hybrid combination with their participation did not show competitive
heterosis (deviation from St was—3.3%) because of the low effect of GCS of MS lines
(−0.38*) (Table 19.1).
Combination of MS 2/Ot 5 (17.6%) had a signifi cant difference of sugar content
from the average population values (Table 19.1), which is due to the additive effect of
the mother form—MS 2 (+0.24*) (Table 19.2).
Dispersive analysis of the data showed that the effect of all components of the
variation of genotypes was signifi cant in the environment NBEA. This allowed deter-
mining the proportion (Figure 19.2), as well as the effects of combining abilities of
parental lines of SSH (Table 19.3).

Line MS 1 was the best among SCA in the environment of NBEA, which was well
combined with MS Ot 5 (SCA = 0.52 *). Hybrid with their application had the highest
sugar content—18.1 percent (Table 19.1). The components of hybrids МS 2/Оt 5, МS
5/Оt 2, and МS 5/Оt 3 had interaction effects that were signifi cantly higher—0.55,
1.15, and 0.59, respectively, resulting in the increased level of sugar content in the
hybrids, created with their participation—17.5, 17.7, and 17.4 percent, respectively.
Thus, nonadditive variance was dominated by EA compared with the common
area (OA), and was 60 versus 30 percent on the common background of fertilizing in
the genotypic structure of variability of the feature of sugar content.
Extended area of supply is the factor in which the effect of the genotype is higher
than normal (86.6 vs. 69.2%), which indicates the feasibility of selecting the best gen-
otypes in this environment. Differentiating ability of the environment NBEA is higher
than on NBCA (seven of the best hybrids vs. fi ve were distinguished). The range of
variation in the sugar content on EA was higher (2.2%) compared to the CA (1.2%).
Variability of effects of GSA and SCA, as well as the specifi city of the reaction of hy-
brids due to the change of the area of supply, was distinguished. The best hybrids in the
