Note: *—differences with control are significant with Р < 0.05; control is the alcohol solution
(dissolved 1:10) in which zone of growth inhibition of test organism was absent.
Maximum zones of growth inhibition of St. epidermidis were observed for alcohol
extracts from leaves of Geranium pratense L. and Origanum vulgare L . , where the
diameter of zones of growth inhibition of bacteria was 20 and 19 mm, respectively.
Under the effect of alcohol extracts from the fl owers of Potentila recta L., Potentila
erecta L., Eryngium planum L . , Agrimonia eupatoria L. and leaves of Filipendula
ulmaria L., Armoracia rusticana Lam., Agrimonia eupatoria L., and Glycyrrhiza
uralensis L . zones of growth inhibition reached 17 mm, 13, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, and
13 mm, respectively.
Growth of В. mycoides was also inhibited by alcohol extracts from leaves and
fl owers of many herbs under study. Maximum of zone of growth inhibition of В. my-
coides was observed under the effect of biologically active substances extracted by
alcohol from leaves of Glycyrrhiza uralensis L . and leaves of Armoracia
rusticana Lam., for which the diameter of zones of test organism growth inhibition
reached 15 and 12 mm, respectively. The growth of С. albicans was inhibited by
alcohol extracts from leaves of Geranium pratense L. and Fragaria vesca
L. and from the fl owers of Potentila recta L., when corresponding diameters of zones
of test organism growth inhibition reached 18, 14, and 14 mm, respectively.
