Carpeted walls and a mock-Baroque effect attract a
rough-and-ready crew of 30- and 40-somethings to this
erstwhile brothel, which gets going around 2am, when
there's standing room only. The best place in the area, it's
good fun and infamous as a hook-up bar for people of all
sexual orientations.

Named after the amount of time it takes the
elevator to get to its top-floor location, this part futurist,
part 1980s throwback bar has great views over Potsdamer
Platz. There are three lounge areas, lit by Verner Panton
lamps, and balconies for summer. The mood is glamorous,
the music is standard r'n'b, house and electronica, and the

Probably Berlin's snazziest club with as its main selling
point a twentieth-storey location in the Europa Centre,
with great views of the City West nightscape. But it's an
elitist place and one of the few clubs in Berlin with any kind
of dress code: if it's not designer, you won't get in - and if
it's not a 1980s classic it probably won't be played.
