Berlin has a good selection of guesthouses, hotels, hostels and campsites,
along with a glut of private rooms and apartments for both long and
short-term rental. In typically Berlin fashion there is considerable overlap
between all these categories, so even if you don't want to sleep in a dorm,
for example, it's worth scanning our hostel listings for private single or
double rooms. Prices tend to be good value, despite the city's ever-
increasing popularity: competition is extremely keen everywhere, which
has kept things affordable. Even the smart hotels offer online deals that
have been known to rival hostel rates. If you're camping, you have a
couple of good options to choose from, though these are quite far
from the centre.
