deterioration, are only shown for a
few weeks each year. Charles Meere's
Australian Beach Pattern (1940) is

furnished to the 1840s period,
when the Colonial Secretary
Alexander Macleay briefly
lived in the house that ultim-
ately caused his bankruptcy.
