these sell a wide range of
deep-fried foods.
Coffee & cake Little cafés
everywhere also sell Italian-
style cakes and pastries.
Pubs Most pubs serve a
decent steak sandwich.
Pies An Aussie institution, pies
are readily available. Look out
for gourmet versions.

this is a great mix of local

coconut noodle soup can be
found all over the country in
noodle bars, cafés and pubs.

Victoria sponge cakes are
coated in chocolate icing
and shredded coconut.
