Taronga Zoo 0
This famous harbourside zoo is home
to almost 2,500 animals, with a special
emphasis on unique Australian wildlife.
Conspicuous bars and fences are absent,
with moats used to separate the
wandering public from the curious
animal onlookers contained in environments closely
resembling their natural habitat. The zoo is involved
in the breeding of endangered animals, as well as in
international efforts to ensure a
sustainable future for wildlife.
