Chapter 2. Installing RHEV Manager and
Hypervisor Hosts
This chapter describes setting up RHEV-M, including the installation, initial configuration,
and connection to the administrator and user portal of the manager web interface.
In the latter part of the chapter, we will learn how to deploy and configure the hypervisor
and set up the RHEV-M report portal.
Here are some of the major areas we are going to cover in the rest of this chapter:
• Setting up the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system for the manager
• Installing and configuring RHEV-M and reporting
• Connecting to the administration (admin) and user portal
• Deploying the RHEV-H host on the physical server
