RHEV Manager logs
All the logs related to the installation and initial setup, configuration, and database setup of
RHEV-M, data warehouse, and report portal components are found under the
/var/log/
ovirt-engine/
directory of the RHEV-M system. You can use the following logs to
troubleshoot the initial setup operation of various services such as RHEV-M, data ware-
house, and reporting server:
• Complete information about the initial setup of the manager setup using the
engine-setup
command is shown in the following logfile:
/var/log/ovirt-engine/setup/ovirt-engine-setup-
yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
• Tracks of all the database-related setup information carried out as part of the oVirt
engine setup installer are kept in the following logfile:
/var/log/ovirt-engine/engine-db-install-
yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
• Tracks of the initial
rhevm
data warehouse and report setup and the respective
history database setup used to store the data for reporting are kept in the following
logfile:
/var/log/ovirt-engine/rhevm-dwh-setup-
yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
/var/log/ovirt-engine/ovirt-engine-reports-setup-
yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
/var/log/ovirt-engine/ovirt-history-db-install-
yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
• All the information about ISO upload attempts using the
engine-iso-up-
loader
command installed as part of RHEV-M are stored in the following log-
file:
/var/log/ovirt-engine/ovirt-iso-uploader/ovirt-iso-
uploader-yyyy_mm_dd_hh_ss.log
