Validating and listing added domains
To validate the configured domains, please run the following command:
[root@rhevmanager ~]# engine-manage-domains -action=validate
Domain example.com is valid.
The configured user for domain example.com is
admin@EXAMPLE.COM
Manage Domains completed successfully
[root@rhevmanager ~]#
To list all the directory service domains defined in the RHEV-M configuration, please run
the following command:
[root@rhevmanager ~]# engine-manage-domains -action=list
Domain: example.com
User name: admin@EXAMPLE.COM
Manage Domains completed successfully
[root@rhevmanager ~]#
You need to restart the ovirt-engine service once for the
changes to take effect in Manager Administrator Portal user
login screen under domain field to show the list of the
domains that Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager is
attached to. To restart ovirt engine service please run the
below command:
[root@rhevmanager ~]# /sbin/service ovirt-engine restart
Stopping oVirt Engine:
[ OK ]
Starting oVirt Engine:
[ OK ]
[root@rhevmanager ~]#
Now, log out and reload the admin or user portal from your browser, and log in as the de-
fault internal admin account. We just added the directory services to the manager, and we
need to add the directory users and assign roles and permission to the users.
