Cluster policies
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization cluster resilience policy allows you to define the mi-
gration policy for virtual machines in the event of host failure. There might be a possibility
of a physical host failure in such conditions. The migration of the running virtual machine
decision to be automatic or manual purely depends upon the cluster resilience policy
defined by the admin.
There are situations where a physical host runs more than a dozen virtual machines. Since
the virtual machine migration is a network-intensive operation, it's highly recommended
that you choose the best policy that suits your environment. Under this kind of scenario, the
best approach is to choose Migrate only highly-available virtual machine as the policy to
avoid unnecessary network saturation by moving dozens of virtual machines.
