The migration priority
Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization supports concurrent migration requests by queuing the
migration request of virtual machines, and it will also allow you to define the migration pri-
ority of virtual machines based on the application SLA and business criticality.
By setting the migration priority based upon workloads, the virtual machine with high pri-
ority will be migrated first, followed by medium and low.
Perform the following steps to set the migration priority for a virtual machine:
1. Log in to the
Administrator
portal, and navigate to the
Virtual Machine
tab.
2. Select the appropriate virtual machine, right-click on it, and select
Edit
.
3. In the
Edit Virtual Machine
window, select
Show Advanced Options
, and move
to the
High Availability
tab.
4. Check the
Highly Available
radio button, and set the
Priority for Run/Migration
queue
option as
Low
,
Medium
, or
High
—whichever is feasible for you.
5. Click on
OK
to save and close it.
