the virtual machine. You can choose either one of the following three options to
enable the USB support:
Native : This supports both Linux and Windows workloads and does not
require any in-guest agents to be installed on virtual machines. This is
supported only for virtual machines running on clusters with the compat-
ibility version set to 3.1 or higher.
Legacy : This is supported only for Windows guests running on RHEV
3.0, and it's going to be depreciated in future releases.
Disabled : This does not allow USB redirection from the client machine
to the virtual machine. Select or unselect the Smartcard Enabled check-
box to activate or deactivate the smartcard authentication for individual
virtual machines.
4. Expand the Advanced Parameters option, and you will see Disable strict user
checking by default.
This option is enabled by default, which will allow only one user to connect to the
console of a virtual machine; the exception is a super user. The new user can con-
nect to the same virtual machine console only after the virtual machine gets re-
booted. If you disable this, then you can expose the previous user's session to the
new user. Leave this to default.
The Soundcard enabled option is recommended only for desktop workloads;
leave it disabled for server class machines.
5. Select the VirtIO Console Device Enabled checkbox to attach a VirtIO console
device to your virtual machine.
