Using Integrated Systems
Using an integrated systems approach allows the execution of projects collaboratively
and interactively from planning phase throughout the operation. It provides a col-
laborative working environment by bringing together key participants, such as clients,
designers, engineers, consultants, project developers, operators, and project managers.
Integrated systems incorporates ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems with BIM
to support the entire life cycle of a project as well as enables services to various project
participants. The integration of BIM with ERP systems eliminates traditional data
transfer problems (data losses, etc.), conflicts and misunderstandings among project
