By bus The bus terminal is 3km from the town centre, a
short BsF20 taxi ride; there are no city buses. From Ciudad
Bolívar there are two checkpoints on the way to Santa
Elena as well as a full baggage search when you arrive at
the terminal, so keep your passport handy.
Destinations Caracas (daily; 22hr); Ciudad Bolívar (4 daily;
12hr), stopping in Puerto Ordáz; Puerto la Cruz (2 daily;
16hr); Manaus (daily at 1pm; 12hr).

The staff here aren't exactly sure what the place is called,
there being no sign; just look for a gated entrance with red
pillars across from Lavandería Pereira. There's a communal
