If you're
arriving by land

buses frequently cross the border without
stopping at the customs post. It is your
responsibility to get exit stamps from
Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina and the
required entry stamp for Paraguay or you
risk a substantial fine - inform your driver
that you need stamps and take your bags
with you as buses won't always wait. The
entry stamp entitles you to a ninety-day
stay in Paraguay and this can be renewed
once without cost at an immigrations
post. A
