restaurants and bars. This is arguably the
liveliest nightspot on the island during
the summer and at weekends throughout
the year, with restaurants always crowded
and people overflowing into the streets
from the bars. The east coast beaches are
close by; cross the lagoon bridge from
Centrinho and it's 3.5km to Praia Mole
(see p.360).

Lagoa da Conceição has plenty of good-value options,
although you'll need to book ahead in high season.
