That completes this lesson in painting the Forest Spirit. We have learned how to render base images from
Maya for use as Photoshop layers. We have also looked at how to create an unsaturated character design
illustration, how to paint realistic eyes quickly, as well as how to approach painting hair and fur.
Before we move on to the next chapter, I'd like to share this space with a good friend and artist I greatly
admire. Jerad Marantz has designed on some of the biggest films in the past few years and his art is always
inspiring (see Figure 9-106 for a great example). Follow along as he shows some of his process for the Space
Ghoul image.
