Final Detail Pass
We are now at the final stages of the figure. We have completed the majority of the work on the primary
and secondary forms. At this point, we will add the last details to tie the character together. Since we have
suggested that some parts are hard shelled and exoskeleton, like the arms, we will add some finer details like
bumps and ridges that help accentuate the feeling of a hard, armored surface in those areas.
1. At this stage, I add ridges to the body with the Standard brush ( Figure 7-75 ). This creates more inter-
esting surface details and helps create a series of graceful lines flowing around the surface of the body.
