2. Rotate to a front view and pull the faces out into an oval shape that extends out for the outline of the
front form. Shape the top of this crest into a T shape, as seen in Figure 3-43 . This adds more visual interest
to the crest by introducing an interesting interplay between positive and negative space.
3. I continue to refine the shape by moving parts to overlap the silhouette in interesting ways ( Figure
3-44 ) .
4. Use the Masking Pen brush to create some vent shapes down the edges of the crest. These could be
hearing or some other sensory organs developed for the spaces between worlds in which these creatures
dwell ( Figure 3-45 ) .
