Understanding proportion allows you to break the rules in an educated way. For example, if you enlarge
the head and hands of a normal-sized figure, the resulting proportion appears adolescent. If you enlarge them
too much, they can start to feel childlike or even overly stylized. Knowing how proportions work allows you
the freedom as an artist to manipulate them. This section will give you the basic information you need to
