Superspur
Notes: The light yellowish-red fruits average 0.7 inch in diameter and
have soft, yellow flesh. Blooms in late February and early March and
ripens in late April and early May. Highly rated for yield and tree form.
Early bloom is a problem, as is inadequate chilling in warmer areas
and during mild winters. Fruits fall prematurely (shatter) when ripe.
Rust-susceptible.
Saline
Notes: The red fruits average 0.6 to 0.75 inch in diameter and have
firm, pink flesh. Blooms in early to mid-March and ripens in late April
through early May. Productive, and fruit retention is good.
Big Red
Notes: The red fruits average about 0.75 inch in diameter and have
pink flesh. Blooms in early March and ripens in late April through early
May. The trees are upright and spreading. Needs a pollinizer.
Crimson
Notes: The mostly red fruits average about 0.7 inch in diameter and
have light pink flesh. Blooms in mid-March and ripens in late April
through early May.
