Notes: The large to very large, greenish-yellow fruits are best used for
baking and canning. A good medium-chilling European-Asian pear hy-
brid for growers in the southern United States but requires careful
training and crop management. The trees are large and produce heavy
crops. Excellent resistance to fire blight.
Pineapple
Climate Zones: Zones 8-9
Notes: The medium-sized brown-skinned fruits have an elongated
gourd shape. The flesh remains very hard, even when ripe. Best used
for preserves, as it disintegrates during canning. A low-chilling variety
commonly grown in the southern United States. Pollinate with
'Flordahome' or 'Hood'.
