Low-Chilling Apple Varieties

along the Gulf of Mexico. None is highly rated for disease resistance.
Anna
Climate Zones: Zones 8-9
Notes: The large, yellow, red-blushed fruits have a sweet, mild flavor.
Imported from Israel with 'Ein Shemer' in 1967. Fruits well in central
Florida, ripens in Gainesville in late June to early July. Pollinate with
'Dorsett Golden'.
Beverly Hills
Climate Zones: Zones 8-9
Notes: The medium-sized, greenish-yellow, orange-red-striped fruits
russet at maturity. The fruits are tart and suitable for fresh use and
cooking. Ripens about mid-August. Quickly loses flavor and texture if
left on the tree too long. Popular in southern coastal California. Some-
times reported to be self-fruitful but is only partially so. Pollinate with
another early to mid-season, low-chilling apple.
