Pearl Farm Marina
Lanang • Weaving Centre Daily 8am-5pm • Free • Lanang is easily reached via jeepney (anything that is heading towards “Sasa”) or taxi
At the Pearl Farm Marina in the barangay of Lanang, 4km north of Magsaysay Park,
well-heeled travellers are whisked across the bay to the Pearl Farm Resort (see p.429)
- well worth seeing if you have cash to spare. Day-trips (daily 8am; return 4pm; P1950
Mon-Thurs, P2500 Fri & Sat; T 082 221 9970) include returns on the boat, lunch and
use of the facilities.
Just inside the marina grounds, at the tiny T'boli Weaving Center , you can see weavers
from Lake Sebu (see p.432) on traditional looms, crafting bold geometrical patterns
that symbolize tribal beliefs on tinalak cloth. Colourful bags, belts, shoes, wallets, rugs
and wall hangings are on sale.
Davao Museum of History & Ethnography

describes the city's key events, with temporary exhibits such as rare santos sculptures
on display. Upstairs there's a decent introduction to Davao's fifteen indigenous tribes,
including the Bagobos, with displays of ancient weaponry, betel nut boxes, jewellery
