In-Depth Information
Pinjalo Resort Down the footpath beside the Tourist
Center, on the left T 036 288 3206, W calypso-boracay
.com/pinjalo; map below. Owned and operated by
Calypso Diving, this place is worth the effort to find if you're
looking for good-value, comfortable accommodation close
to the beach but away from the noise of the bars and clubs.
Standard rooms are on the small side making it worth
paying the extra for the deluxe options (P6800). All rooms
are tastefully furnished and look onto peaceful gardens,
and there's poolside wi-fi. In addition, Calypso Diving also
have some chic rooms (P5650) and suites (P8065) next to
their dive shop. P5400
Seabird International Resort Set back from the
beach a short walk north of D'Mall T 036 288 3047,
W seabirdboracay.com; map below. An oldie but a
goodie, Seabird continues to renovate to keep up with the
new crowd and offers a range of rooms set in pleasant and
quiet gardens just a minute's walk back from the beach.
Good coffe e, panc akes, breakfasts and fish in the restaurant.
Free wi-fi. P3300
BOAT STATION 3 AND POINTS SOUTH
Angol Point Beach Resort At the south end of the
beach T 036 288 3107, W angolpointbeach.com; map
below. Angol Point 's a little more pricey than many resorts
of its ilk because the conservationist owner, Francis, has
built only one cottage where most developers would have
put three or four - which means you get expansive rooms,
huge verandas and the benefit of acres of space in the
peaceful coconut grove where the resort stands. It's a short
walk from b ars and restaurants and very quiet. Good choice
for families. P3000

Blue Mango Inn Southern end of the beach T 036
288 5107, W bluemangoinn.com; map below. This is a
great-value choice with a wide range of rooms, either
facing the beach or set around the wonderfully jungle-like
garden. All rooms are attractively decorated and have a/c,
cable TV, fridge and hot and cold shower. There's also a
decent café with wi-fi on site and sunbeds on the beach for
the us e of gu ests. The resort also has a well-rated dive
centre. P3000
