and George & Peter Lines ( T 035 225 2345) have slower

service (3hr). Heading to Siquijor, Delta ( T 032 422 1335 in
Cebu), GL Shipping Lines ( T 035 480 5534) and Oceanjet
( T 032 255 7560 in Cebu, W oceanjet.net) have several
daily boats. For southern Cebu the quickest way is to head
up to Sibulan, or further to Tampi, and then take a ferry
across to Lilo-An or Bato respectively (see p.366).
Destinations Cagayan de Oro (weekly; 7hr); Cebu City (1-2
daily; 4hr); Dapitan (on Mindanao; daily; 3hr); Manila
(weekly; 19hr); Siquijor (6 daily; 45min); Tagbilaran (1-2
daily; 2hr).
By bus and jeepney The Ceres Liner terminal ( T 035 225
9030) is on Governor Perdices St, 1km south of Quezon
Park. A tricycle costs P20, but if you haven't got much
luggage you can walk it almost as fast. For departures to
the north of the island, it's worth making sure that you
get on an express bus, shaving a few painful hours from
journey times. There are hourly buses to Sipalay (4-5hr) via
Kabankalan or Hinoba-an, and Bacolod (6hr). For the short
hop to Dauin, there are plenty of jeepneys and buses going
back and forth most hours of the day and night.
To Cebu For Cebu island, take a van (P11) or tricycle (P120)
north to Sibulan from where there are boats (every 30min;
30min; P35-70) to Lilo-An; from Lilo-An buses run up the
east coast to Cebu City. Alternatively, continue beyond
Sibulan to Tampi, from which boats go to Bato on Cebu
(every 90min; 30min; P70). From Bato buses go north
to Moalboal, and then on to Cebu City. You can buy bus
tickets for the Cebu leg of the journey at the Sibulan pier
ticket o ce.
