acceptable rooms (the cheapest come with fans only, but
all have free wi-fi and flatscreen TVs), decent food and

p.243. The only luxury offering in the town is this modern
mansion, on a ridge above the Yacht Club with spectacular
views in all directions. Each room is individually decorated
and features high-quality furnishings and modern art -
the “Presidential Suite” and “Indonesian Room” are parti-
cularly impressive. There are also a couple of houses for
rent, which are great for families. In the grounds you'll find
tennis courts and an infinit y pool, and there's a free boat
shuttle from the Yacht Club. P5500
Steps Garden Almost at the far western end of the

western end of the cove, Swedish-owned Steps has a wide
variety of comfortable a/c huts spread through the lovely
hillside gardens (inspired by the Greek island of Santorini),
many of which have great balcony views. There's also an
attractive pool, a good r estaurant and friendly staff. Free

An extraordinary faux German schloss owned and operated
by the Maierhofer family, Tropicana has medieval-themed
rooms with four-poster beds and all mod cons (including
wi-fi in public areas only). There's a swimming pool, a small
spa and a restaurant. Many gue sts are on all-in packages

SABANG
Angelyn's Dive Resort Far western end of the beach

a short walk from dive operators, bars and restaurants,
with a choice of accommodation ranging from basic lodge
rooms to en-suite cabins, some with balconies and all with

on the main footpath, this is one of Sabang's best-known
resorts, with its own dive centre and rooms in a quiet
garden surrounding a swimming pool. There's a choice
of fan, a/c deluxe and a/c superior rooms, the latter of

The pleasant seaside restaurant serves breakfast and a

chick en, sala ds and seafood, produced by the resident French
