than arid West Moloka'i.

east of Kaunakakai on Kamakana Place. This quiet vacation rental is the ground floor of a
family house, set amid a tropical garden. Here you have a large living room, full kitchen
and bath, separate bedroom, and a laundry room, plus use of snorkel gear. Rates are $80

Condominiums
The largest condo on the east end of the island is the
Wavecrest Resort

at mile marker 13 and with individually owned units. While every unit is different, general
amenities include a swimming pool, tennis court, laundry facilities, and a nicely mani-
cured, five-acre setting. One- and two-bedroom units have full kitchens and look across
the Pailolo Channel toward Maui, and rates vary between $100-200. There is a front desk
that is open 7:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday. Contact island rental agents for individual

Vacation Rentals
is a great little two-bedroom cottage right on the beach in Puko'o. This house is just down
the road from a sundries store, so you can pick up supplies there. This beach house has a
full kitchen and washer and dryer. With a view like the one looking across toward Maui,
there's a good chance you'll never want to leave. Perhaps best of all, a swimmable beach
is just out the front door. Rates are $250 a night with a three-night minimum, plus a $175
cleaning fee.
