Unless you have a four-wheel drive or high-clearance vehicle, Lana'i only has one access-
ible beach. That beach has been voted one of the best in the country; it's also the only
beach with any sort of facilities. If, however, you happen to procure a Jeep or a local's
truck, there are a number of undeveloped beaches where you could run around naked and
there would be no one there to care. It's rare in modern day Hawai'i to walk down an
empty stretch of sand that isn't lined by any sort of development. When you're the person
leaving the only set of footprints in the sand, you realize just how secluded this island is.
