Lahaina to the other, Bus #23 makes various stops around town from 8am until 11pm.
For those traveling from Napili or Kahana to Whalers Village in Ka'anapali (where you
can connect with buses to Lahaina and beyond), Bus #30 begins service at 5:30am at the
Napili Kai Beach Resort and makes various stops along Lower Honoapi'ilani Road until
9pm. Bus #25 connects Whalers Village in Ka'anapali with the Wharf Cinema Center in
Lahaina from 6am until 9pm, and Bus #20 connects the Wharf Cinema Center with Queen
Ka'ahumanu Mall in Kahului, making a stop in Ma'alaea for anyone who wants to transfer
on a bus down to Kihei.
Since a taxi from Napili to Kahului Airport will cost about $120, if you need to get
from Napili to the airport and don't have a car, the cheapest way is to buy a $4 day pass
and take Bus #30 to Whalers Village, change to #25 to the Wharf Cinema Center, hop on
#20 the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, and then take #40 to the Kahului Airport. Total transit
time for this sojourn is two hours and 10 minutes, but hey, for $4, who's complaining? As
a relevant aside, however, you aren't allowed to have more luggage than you can place on
your lap or under your seat.

Though not many visitors access West Maui from the water, those traveling from the is-
lands of Lana'i or Moloka'i will arrive at Lahaina Harbor by interisland ferry. Expeditions
(808/661-3756, www.go-lanai.com ) ferry runs five times daily between Manele and La-
haina Harbors, and the Moloka'i Princess (877/500-6284, www.molokaiferry.com ) ferry
runs daily between Kaunakakai and Lahaina. If coming from Lana'i, the earliest arrival
time in Lahaina is 9am, and the latest is 7:45pm. If traveling from Moloka'i, the earliest ar-
rival in Lahaina is 6:45am, and latest is 5:30pm. When arriving in Lahaina by ferry you'll
find there are a large number of taxis to get you to your resort, or, if you plan on renting
a car, call ahead to the rental car offices listed above and they'll pick you up. If you are
traveling from Lana'i, the rental car offices will be closed if you are on the last ferry of the
day.
