For historical inquiries, the Lahaina Restoration Foundation (808/661-3262,
www.lahainarestoration.org ) is a storehouse of information. Pick up its handy brochure,
Lahaina O Mo'olele: A Walking Tour of Historic and Cultural Sites in Lahaina.
The Lahaina Town Action Committee (648 Wharf St., 808/667-9194,
www.visitlahaina.com ) sponsors cultural events and other activities throughout the year,
including Art Night and Halloween, and can provide information about what's happening
in the area. It operates the Lahaina Visitor Center (808/667-9193) on the first floor of the
Old Lahaina Courthouse. For popular events and activities happening in Lahaina, contact
the events hotline (808/667-9194), or pick up its Historic Lahaina Town Walking Map and
the Maui Historical Walking Guide brochures, which has information mostly on Lahaina
and Ka'anapali.
For art lovers, the nonprofit Lahaina Arts Society (808/661-0111, www.lahaina-
arts.com ) has information about art events in town, and it maintains two galleries at the
Old Lahaina Courthouse.
